Cards Against Humanity vs Best Answer Wins
Fill-in-the-blank card games are probably the most-played party format there is. Apples to Apples made it wholesome, Cards Against Humanity made it filthy, and now there are dozens of versions. Best Answer Wins is ours, and we built it to work for both the family table and the after-the-kids-are-in-bed crowd.
What's the same
A prompt card goes up with a blank in it. Everyone has a hand of answer cards and plays the one that makes the prompt funniest. A judge picks the winner, and the judge role rotates. Some prompts have two blanks, so you play two cards in order. That's the whole game, and it's great.
What's different
- It's on phones. Your hand is private on your phone, and the TV shows the prompt and the reveal. No cards to shuffle or lose under the couch.
- Answers stay anonymous until the reveal, so the judge can't play favorites with their best friend.
- You can vote instead of judging. Switch on group vote and everyone picks their favorite (not their own).
- Write your own. Everyone gets 3 blank cards a game. If the joke isn't in your hand, type it.
- Two decks. Family is the default and fine for kids. After Dark is for adults.

For mixed ages, for groups split across cities, or for anyone tired of digging the good cards out of the box, Best Answer Wins is quicker to set up and easier to keep friendly.
