How to play
- Set the number of players, pick a category and tap Deal.
- Pass the phone. Each person taps to see their word, then hides it before passing it on. The imposter sees no word.
- Starting with the player the phone names, go around once. Each person says one word about the secret. Not too obvious, or the imposter will catch on.
- Vote by pointing on the count of three. Most votes is out.
- If you caught the imposter, they get one guess at the word. A right guess steals the round.

How do you play the imposter game?
Everyone gets the same secret word except the imposter, who gets nothing. Going around the circle, each person says one word that relates to the secret. Then everyone votes on who they think the imposter is.
If the imposter guesses the word, do they win?
In most groups, yes. A caught imposter gets one guess at the secret word, and a right answer steals the round. Agree on it before you start.
Can you play the imposter game with 3 people?
Yes. Give two clues each instead of one, and pick a big category like places or jobs so the imposter can't guess the word too easily.
What is the imposter game with hints?
The imposter sees the category, like Food or Animals, instead of a blank screen. It makes the game fairer for kids and new players. Turn on Hint for the imposter before you deal.
When should you use two imposters?
With 8 or more players. The two imposters don't know about each other, so catching one doesn't end the round.
