Short version: we collect as little as we can, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it any time.
What we collect
- Your email address, if you sign up for early access, plus which plan you said you were interested in and when you signed up.
- Nicknames you type into a game. These only exist while the room is open and aren't linked to your email.
- Basic technical data that every website receives, like your IP address and browser type. Our hosting provider uses it to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
We don't use advertising trackers or sell anything to advertisers.
How we use it
- To email you about Hangtime: when games launch, founder pricing, and big updates.
- To run games and keep the site working and secure.
Every email we send will have a way to unsubscribe.
Who else handles it
We use a few trusted services to run Hangtime. They only get what they need to do their job:
- Cloudflare hosts the site and stores the signup list.
- Google Fonts delivers the fonts on our pages, which means your browser contacts Google when a page loads.
We don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
How long we keep it
We keep your email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Game rooms and nicknames are cleared after the game ends.
Your choices
Email hello@hangtime.games and we'll tell you what we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have extra rights under laws like the GDPR or CCPA. We'll honor those requests too.
Kids
Anyone can join a game with just a nickname. The early-access list and accounts are for people 13 and older, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has signed up, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If it's a big change, we'll email people on the list.
